About us...

Kuoni Architects is an international architectural consulting firm with offices in Heidenheim / Germany and Nairobi / Kenya. The firm renders full architectural services in the fields of Educational Facilities, Hotels, Commercial and Industrial Buildings, Hospitals, Accommodations, Residences including Interior Design.

The firm has gained profound international expertise mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa (Tanzania, Kenya, Rep. of Guinea) but also in countries like Russia and Algeria. As a medium size office we believe our future and success is intrinsically linked to that of our customers, consequently, we aim to provide a personal and tailored service that meets our clients’ requirements and expectations.

Kuoni Architects are concerned with the physical context of a project, sensitive to the culture and climate of their place and is dedicated to the creation of fresh and progressive but appropriate and sustainable design solutions with a holistic approach involving also environmental and socio cultural aspects into its architecture. Beneath architectural services also community based Social Services, such as Maintenance & Repair Concepts and Capacity Development of Management Committees amongst others are forming part of our interdisciplinary services.

Projects

"Kuoni Architects" executed the "Primary Education Programme in Poor Urban Areas of Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa" as the sub-consultant in Phase I and as the main consultant in Phase II .

"Kuoni Architects" have at their disposal a range of qualified and experienced professionals and support staff, both Kenyan nationals and expatriates who will be available for the implementation of the programme.

In addition, qualified staff can be provided as required from "archis architects and engineers"

Engineering Services for Structural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and QS works will be sub-contracted to experienced and qualified Kenyan Companies, which have already rendered services for the programme during the implementation of KPEP Phase I & Phase II.

Social Services such as Maintenance and Repair Concept and Capacity Development of School Management Committees will be carried out by KA directly, who has gained several years of experience in the implementation of programmes of that kind. Services such as HIV/Aids will be sub-contracted to in that field specialized local partners.
